The Angelus Ghost
K.R.W. Treanor

The Angelus Ghost e-book cover by Nicole Kaiser
Cover art by Nicole Kaiser
ISBN-10 1-59201-041-5
81,600 words
Ghosts and hallucinations aren't something a modern career woman can take seriously, but nurse Tara O'Neill has to question what else could be behind the happenings at Angelus House. Something horrifying has happened to her old friend Meade, now Lady Castlereagan: that much is clear.

Getting to the bottom of the mystery is complicated by the determined advances of Meade's brother-in-law, who just won't take no for an answer. Torn between her duty and the seductive attention of a handsome man, Tara grits her teeth, loads her derringer, and sets out to find out who is trying to drive her patient mad, and why.

The last act is played out in the underground vaults of a noble house with a bloody history, with a final twist that will leave the reader stunned. If you like your heroines with a bit of backbone, Tara O'Neill will fulfill your expectations.

Reminiscent of Agatha Christie and Daphne Du Maurier (with a slight frisson of Lovecraft), Karen Treanor has written a novel far more substantive than the usual mystery-romance. Her memorable protagonist might be cheeky, but she also has both feet planted firmly on the ground. --Reviewed by Jim Rogers

I read 'The Angelus Ghost', by KRW Treanor and loved it.
What a kicker at the end, wow! I hear people say they read a book and could not put it down, now I know what they mean. I had to find out what Tara, the heroine, would discover next and did not abide many interuptions.

Attention mystery and romance fans, here is a tale to grab your attention. Guaranteed to satisfy any reader. ...Lots of mystery to keep you on the edge of your seat as you keep turning pages to see what happens next. Lots of red herrings, twists and surprises in store for the reader. An exciting read.
Highly recommended as something different, a read you will truly enjoy. I sure did.
