Plausible Deniability

Move over Tom Clancy, there's a new
game
in town.
Plausible Deniability
, the unspoken motto of the CIA, is not only the title of this book, it is the
very core of the story.
The plot is fast, powerful and all too contemporary. From Germany to America to
all over the world,
Plausible Deniability
sweeps the reader into the scariest and deadliest game of our time:
international terrorism.
Although the book has the same basic theme as many of Tom Clancy's novels, the
similarity stops there. This is not a man's book written by a man for men.
Indeed, Mr. Arnold goes to great lengths to develop his female characters. He
disproves the notion that only men can exist in a world of intrigue.
Plausible Deniability
is filled with exceptional realism and authenticity. Known historical facts
are woven throughout the book adding credence to both the plot and the players.
I found myself reliving events that had happened in my lifetime, but from a
completely different viewpoint. I became one of the "players", so to
speak. I think that is the highest compliment a reader can pay an author.
Although my real life is rather staid, I had no difficulty in imagining myself
within this world of spies and super agents.
This book is not a
light
read. Its many sub-plots and characters will keep even the most attentive of
readers in knots. Just when you think you have it all figured out, another
twist will send you off on a new tangent. Not to worry. All is made clear in
the end.

This is a Reader Review!
I found the story thoroughly enjoyable and intriguing. Spies and counterspies and action galore. Arnold's writing style is among the best of the authors of that genre. It's actually an easy read, even with the complex plot and equally complex characters, and he keeps you glued through his numerous plot twists and character development.
A must-read for the spy-thriller fan.
