In December, 1992, Ross Sherman journeyed to The Nitro, a dance club, with a
female co-worker. It was there he met Simone. It was there that Simone seduced
Ross, left the club in a blood bath, and abducted Ross for her own, for her
mate. That night Ross was metamorphed into a vampire and began to witness all
that a vampire was!
***** I rate this story R-17. No one under the age of 17 should read this
novel. There. My conscience is clear. Should anyone under that age decide to
ignore my warning, you deserve any nightmare you get. :)
This novel covers the first three months of Ross Sherman's existence as a
vampire. Simone tells parts of her history as the story goes. Unimaginable
horrors and delights are revealed to the readers. Let me give an example,
Plasma City. Plasma City gives both horror and delight. It is a place for
vampires to sink into lust and blood feedings without fear. Where vampires
gather en masse to enjoy the pleasures of the vampire flesh and mortal blood.
Then there is the entity known as "The Other". This is another vampire who
seems to be following Ross and his vampire friends. Why? Who is it? What does
The Other want? You must read to learn those answers. I can reveal nothing
without spoiling the dark tale for you. However, I can tell you this: I found
myself enthralled and repelled at the same time throughout the book. No matter
how sick and depraved the story became, I could not stop reading. I have no
doubt that all fans of Dark Vampire Horror will be as riveted. Highly
recommended! *****

I'm not prone to vampire stories. Not usually. Most of what happens in this
sub-genre of horror has been done to death, pardon the pun, and the writing is
often of the cookie cutter variety. Fortunately, Vampire Seductress by Lance
Panzer doesn't suffer from such problems.
First off, Lance is an accomplished writer. I've seen too much amateur bullshit
floating around out there, so I'm always excited when I find a writer who has
studied the craft of writing enough to be able to pull off a novel with the
sort of skill Lance has managed with Vampire Seductress.
Vampire Seductress is a love story. It's about one man's journey from one
species to another. It's about love and hate and passion. It's the story of
Ross and the vampire seductress who changed his life forever. Along the way,
Ross copes with his love for (and sometimes underlying despisal of)the
seductive creature who made him what he will forever be. We see Ross gradually
come to grips with his newfound form, along with the power it brings, and his
evolution from slave to master.
What makes Vampire Seductress so good is Lance's eye for detail, his rich
description of setting, and his often-poetic flare for prose writing. While the
story is not necessarily unique, Lance's presentation makes it well worth the
read.
There's a lot of sex in this book. Good sex. Writing sex scenes that arouse
takes a great deal of skill. Lance pulls it off. The sex is erotic and hot.
Lance weaves it into the fabric of the story rather than throw it in for
effect. After years of writing and reading erotic horror, I've become jaded. It
takes a bit of fancy footwork to catch me by surprise with a sex scene, but
again, Lance pulls it off.
I definitely recommend Vampire Seductress to vampire fans, and if you aren't
into vampire stories, I think you'll like this one. A great read, well worth
the purchase.

After the law firm's annual Christmas party, Ross Sherman, and Jane Hampton, the firm's legal secretary, decided to check out the action at Nitro, a local nightclub. When a mysterious and dangerously alluring women catches Ross' eye he is unable to stop the bloody series of events that are set in motion. Simone, a vampire femme, has set her sights on Ross and nothing will stand in her way. A battle ensues and she whisks him away leaving a trail of carnage.
After she turns Ross, we are privy to the most intimate details of his physical and emotional transformation from mortal to immortal and we are given a glimpse of Simone and her remarkable history. A danger lurks in the shadows and their mated bliss is threatened by an unknown enemy, The Other; but such is the life of a vampire.
Vampire Seductress is at once sensual and brutal. The reader is taken on a macabre journey into vampire subculture where you check your inhibitions and morals at the door of the lair. I was fascinated by Mr. Panzer's ability to pull the reader into the depths of the story; no matter how horrific the story became, I had to know what would happen next. If you are a fan of the vampire genre or just love a good dose of horror, check out this author's debut novel.
Note: Sensitive readers may find some graphic scenes disturbing.

Picture the scene: You're at the company's annual Christmas party at The Nitro. You're in the festive mood and are having fun with one of your co-workers, Jane. You make the customary toast, "To the New Year, and everything that may happen." Then you see her. Or does she see you? Either way your life changes from that moment on. She is Simone and she has taken a fancy to you, Ross Sherman.
This is the beginning of how Ross's life changed. He must now live the life of a vampire with his sire, Simone. The journey she embarks on with Ross now in tow, excites, titillates, shocks and grabs hold of whoever dares to follow. Excellent description and vivid imagery makes for a very entertaining read. I must warn you; as this is an erotic horror, the action may not always be for the faint-hearted, and its erotic scenes are hot and stimulating.
Whatever happens to Ross? Does he adapt to the life of a vampire? What of his previous life and the people he once knew? To find out you'll have to purchase your own copy and I definitely recommend that you do so.
This is a must buy.

Ross Sherman is dancing the night away at an office Christmas party with friend Jane Hampton when he is riveted by the siren call of a raven-haired beauty. He follows the primal pull, leaving his previously overwhelming attraction to Jane behind, changing his life forever.
"Vampire Seductress" is less about the seductress and more about Ross Sherman's abrupt trip from the light into a darkness that is dazzling beyond anything he ever dreamed possible. Ross leaves behind not only an attraction to a colleague, but his girlfriend Helen, who is distraught at his sudden and mysterious disappearance in the wake of death and destruction.
Lance Panzer breaks new ground in vampire lore, breaking with the traditional bite and exchange of blood and adding a sexual theme that runs throughout the book. Simone, the vampire seductress, has been around for centuries and has witnessed or been part of the most notable moments in history. Ross is quickly mesmerized by his new and more opulent lifestyle. Although he mentions the past he has left behind and talks about his remorse, his emotions do not ring true. He careens from one "avant garde" sexual escapade to another, wearing the latest and most expensive clothes designed by Simone's fashion protégées, in a blood-soaked orgy of excess. Woven in and around the continuous orgy are historical milestones and figures in Simone's immortal life that fail to do little more than provide a much needed respite from sex, blood and more sex.
Thrown in between the glaring holes in an otherwise sketchy plot is a vampire foe that shows up for a couple of quick cameos and is then forgotten, except for an offhand mention here and there, until the very end of the book. The final conflict provides a fast-paced bit of story thrown in where the author ran out of places for more vampiric orgies and hedonistic excess. It is only at the very end that Ross shows glimmers of becoming interesting, but it is too little too late.
"Vampire Seductress" isn't a bad book; it is voyeuristic vampire mind candy that is at times more like slogging through hip deep clotted blood with faint glimmers of promise that fails to deliver. "Vampire Seductress" earns one quill for lush language and one quill for a new twist on vampire lore.

What happens if after a long day at work, grocery shopping, you're thrown
against a wall and cold hands wrap around your neck and you feel a pinprick
on your neck? You're being attacked by a vampire. This wasn't necessarily
the case for Ross Sherman, a proofreader in Milwaukee. He goes to the
annual Christmas party and though he is with his coworker Jane, he drops her the
moment he sees-- her. She is Simone and she walks in the light of the Moon.
Yet she's not a gentle vision, but one that can be a venging angel in her
quest for blood and what she wants. She wants Ross and will do anything,
including kill Jane in order to keep him.
The road to immortality isn't taken lightly, but Ross can't resist her, not
even after all he's witnessed. For him there is only Simone. Adjusting to
being a vampire isn't made easily, in fact, Ross has more questions than
answers and only she can give them to him. When she does, he seems to
accept it all without reservation, but with a calm acceptance. In fact, her own
history gives him a lot to think upon. She had a rough life prior to
becoming a vampire by Leopold.
Though some of the back story is a bit long and some of Ross' moments of
doubt seem a bit melodramatic, Lance Panzer has brought a new look to the
world of the vampire. The world is interesting, it has depth and the way he
brings history into the story is refreshing. I enjoyed learning more about
Simone and her lust for knowledge and the people she met through the years.
Yet things aren't always simple in the world Mr. Panzer has created and
sometimes the mortal shell isn't so easily thrown away. More importantly,
even among vampires, nothing is how it seems. Not completely. This is a
wonderful vampire world to be added to the diverse culture of vampires.
Though not a traditional love story, there are many romantic elements that
help bring the story to an interesting conclusion, one that you might not
quite expect.

Ross Sherman's usually boring company Christmas party offers more excitement than he can handle this year. When the party moved to a local nightclub Ross found himself entranced, literally, by the seductive Simone. Beautiful and deadly, this mistress of the night has decided to make Ross her own. Unbeknownst to him, she would change his life forever. Ross wakes up in Simone's lair and discovers that he is no longer human. Simone explains as best she can what he has become and how the benefits to being a vampire far outweigh those of being human.
Simone answers Ross' insatiable questions, spinning a tale that spans centuries. Telling of her transformation and her sire, sharing stories of hunts and the lives she has touched throughout her unnatural life. Simone introduces him, in time, to others of their kind and to their stories of becoming vampires. But, of course, there is no Eden without a snake. This particular snake has a very long memory and will stop at nothing until Simone and all that she loves are destroyed.
Vampire Seductress is an epic tale of love, lust, tragedy and triumph. Simone is a multi-faceted vampire. Female vampires, while normally portrayed as beguiling and beautiful creatures seducing unsuspecting men for sustenance, are rarely shown as the perfect hunter that they are. This is usually withheld for the men. Simone is fully independent, she doesn't need Ross, she wants him; there is a vast difference. The way she gains him, through extreme violence, both shocked and intrigued me. Ross is bewildered and doesn't accept his fate at first (another departure from most vampire novels where the newly turned is disgustingly grateful for being saved from a life of drudgery). Mr. Panzer has penned a thought-provoking, original tale of vampire erotica that leaves you with few questions and characters that are not easily forgotten.

Ross is a 26 year old, going through life like any other guy. At his company’s annual
Christmas Party he and a few others decided to head out to the latest and greatest
nightclub, Nitro. Mending a recently broken heart, Ross has every intention of falling in
love, or at least into bed with Jane, one of his co-workers. That is, until he sees a raven-
haired siren across the bar. What happens next is a complete blur, and his life is
changed forever.
Simone, having lost her one true love in an explosion decades ago, has found her next
mate in one Ross Sherman. She lures him away from Jane and his non-descriptive life.
With gusto, Simone indoctrinates him into the life of the modern vampire full of love, sex
and blood.
Mr. Panzer has quite a horror/love story in Vampire Seductress. Simone is one
gorgeous, voluptuous, sensuous and strong vamp, and all that being a femme vamp
intones. She thoroughly enjoys her life as a vampire and indulges in all its riches.
Having lived quite a long time, she shares all her stories and wisdom during her intimate
moments with Ross, who absorbs everything with rapt interest. He takes to his new life
like a child first riding a bike, scared and full of self-doubt, but enthralled at the same
time.
I would recommend Vampire Seductress to those lovers of vampire and horror stories.
For those of us who like our sex charged with 1000 kilowatts of electricity, there are
quite a few erotically charged encounters between Ross, Simone and the countless
others along for the ride. The horror factor edged on gruesome, but not enough to deter
me. I finished reading in record time. Vampire Seductress earns 5 Cups.

We begin in December 1992. A fateful night with a total lunar eclipse. Ross Sherman, a proof-reader in a law firm in Milwaukee, tells us his story, and does he draw you in. In the seconds it takes his life to change, from euphoria to horror, you can feel yourself right there with him, experiencing everything. Unbelievable but true.
This story is written with humor and with finesse. The description of Ross going through his change was so vivid; the thoughts that replay in his head from his childhood and his thoughts on his dissatisfaction with his mortal life. After the initial horror, he realizes the lure and appeal in leaving that life and becoming a vampire.
I enjoyed reading this surprising story in which the vampires have feelings of insecurity, fear, jealousy; all characteristics not depicted in every vampire story, and then a vampire orgyso decadent.
This story is well written and very absorbing; I have to admit that I couldnt put it down. It was fascinating to read a bit of the vampires past lives, not that it hasn't been done before, but the weaving of certain historical events into the vampires past made this reading very intriguing. For vampire fans, definitely an author to keep an eye on.

Do you read Penthouse? VAMPIRE SEDUCTRESS might fit beautifully within the folds of that magazine, for it is triple-X from front to back. If you glory in nocturnal fantasies of hedonism, this might be just what you are looking for.
This seductress is a “10” and then some. She sets her sights on our main male character and never lets go. Simone kidnaps Ross Sherman from a Christmas party in Milwaukee, takes him to her lair, seduces him, bites him—they drink each other’s blood in a very provocative manner—and Ross becomes a member of the undead. This creepy, horrific, spell-binding, erotically gross and sickly humorous story then goes on to show what life is like as a vampire. Though it’s mostly bedroom play, there’s always the midnight snack of a fresh corpse to be considered. Ross loves his new life but is often confused between vampiric passions and memories of his old life. He is now immortal, has superhuman strength, and telepathic powers. And! --vampires love orgies. Lots of them.
Between dramatic jaunts of sex and violence we get the rich history of Simone’s life. Other than that there’s really not much of a plot. This book is enjoyed from page to page as one passionate scene plays right into the next. The anti-hero characterization is an interesting change of pace. The editing is excellent. The world-building is sufficient, but I can’t stop wondering what the Milwaukee police department is doing with all of those missing person reports. My favorite part of this book is the author’s style: he has a clean, vibrant prose that is very present and engaging. I’d like to see what he could do with more plot and world-building. This is an author whose career will be worth watching.
